Not too bad. Like. An example of a film made strong with a simple storyline and strong performances. Technically accomplished as well. :)

Ghost Child - 鬼仔 (2013)

Not too bad. Some decent chills. Performance from the leads generally strong. Technically competent. Main grumble would be with the story that seems to meander kinda before coming to a close.

Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons - 西游.降魔篇 (2013)

Was adequately entertained while watching. Shu Qi rocks. But the aftertaste isn't exactly to my liking. Blame it on the fact that the characters who will probably reappear if there's a sequel ain't exactly appealing.

Ah Boys to Men 2 - 新兵正传 II (2013)

It's like watching a 2-hour corporate video disguised as a movie with some decent performances and scenes that do not add up to a bigger picture. Overall, this film left me with a bad post-viewing aftertaste.

The Grandmaster - 一代宗师 (2013)

A beautiful film.

Now I'm curious to watch the Berlin edit.

Wished I had caught the Cantonese version though. :(

Hitchcock (2012)

Nice! One of the most entertaining dramas I've watched in awhile. Hopkins sizzles in his role, and so does Mirren. Love the script too!
