Al Awda (2024)

Not bad. Found it informative. The director's narration felt a bit heavy compared with the main parts that featured some of the others on the trip. I learned much, and am amazed by the coherence of the narration considering that some footage went missing.

The Wedding Banquet (2025)

Blah. I found this draggy and the storytelling plain. I don't feel much chemistry between the male couple. The story also does not build towards any huge banquet, making me think they could have changed the title to something else. There is potential of what this remake could have been, but it just felt short. Youn Yuh-Jong steals all the scenes she's in though. 
 

Wicked: For Good (2025)

I liked the production design. And I also cried a bit (but not as much as the first one). However, the characters do some really stupid things and come across as more generic. And I find that I don't really like this one as much as I did Act One. 
 

Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025)

I think I liked the first one better. But this one still has the same feel and is ridiculously entertaining.
 

Frankenstein (2025)

Not bad. Production design is very rich. Have to suspend disbelief somewhat when it comes to the actual science. But I like the angle on humanity and kindness, especially in relation to the Creature. 
 

Black Bag (2025)

Very talkie thriller. With a lot less dramatics than most mainstream commercial thrillers. Acting is tops, but the plotting does take some effort to follow. I basically liked it.

Death of a Unicorn (2025)

Interesting. Second half tends to drag on a weeny bit.
