Machi Action - 变身 (2013)

Some of the scenes in this are very Han Yew Kwang. Had some issues with the pacing and script but overall, I was delightful surprised and entertained by this one. Probably one of my top personal favourites this year.

Lead character's called 鐵男？What a coincidence! :)

Iron Man 3 (2013)

Much better than the last one but I think I got more kick out of the first one. The first ten minutes of this had the comic geek in me smiling.

10+10 十加十 (2011)

A mixed bag in a good way. Leaves a pretty nice aftertaste. Personal favorites include The Ritual (Wang Toon), Hippocamp Hair Saloon (Chen Yu-Hsun), Lane 256 (Arvin Chen), Sparkles (Chang Tso-Chi) and Unwritten Rules (Chen Yu-Chieh).

Drug War - 毒战 (2012)

Not bad though I did find myself losing some interest about two-thirds of the way through. Characters are very memorable - all the way from the police captain portrayed by Sun Honglei to Boss Haha (Hao Ping).

Saving General Yang - 忠烈杨家将 (2013)

Not bad. IMHO - one of those action pics that also manages to get you invested in the characters - despite the fact the film isn't high on intelligence.

Love the scenes where the Green Arrow dude gets into action mode.

Judgment Day - 世界末日 (2013)

This one can't decide if it's a comedy or a drama. It's more like something that belongs on the telly than the big screen. The scenario is completely unbelievable (and laughable) and the characters and their situations are hardly engaging. There are a few nice performances but these are like needles in a haystack that you don't really want to bother to look for because they're not going to redeem the product. Possibly one of the worst films I've seen in the last 12 months.

Oblivion (2013)

Ending's a bit too neat, but overall, I'll say I enjoyed this one.

Olympus Has Fallen (2013)

Got dragged to watch this. Wasn't too bad, though it has its share of boring moments. Good to see Amanda Waller pop up, even though it's the new 52 Amanda Waller. Overall, this isn't really my cup of tea.

Jack the Giant Slayer (2013)

Could've been better. Don't really like.
