Robocop (2014)

After watching Spike Jonze's Her, Robocop feels kinda outdated by comparison (of course one is a more intelligent movie and one is essentially a straightforward action flick). That said, there's still some cool plot points going for Robo and some decent acting, though nothing immediately exceptional. IMHO, the origin segment's either too long or dull, and this became the 3rd movie I dozed off to this year (and it's only January).

The Lion Men - 狮神决战 (2014)

Was quite entertained. Loved Tianwen's performance, the female lead looks hot (tho she can't really dance), and the special effects is probably the best for a Singapore film to date. Overall, some improvements over Jack's past films though one needs to sit through a movie that feels really stretched out and aimless at times.

Mood Indigo - L'ecume des jours (2013)

This film does have something magical about it but I started to drift towards the end and nodded off. It's a film that I want to like, so I'll put that to I was tired when watching. And I'm sure I missed lots due to my lack of understanding of the language and reference material.

IMHO - a very intelligent and down to earth take on A.I.
