The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

Caught this in IMAX. Not bad and worth the format. Some gripes here and there but this is pretty much not too bad with some nifty action sequences. IMHO - Joseph Gordon-Levitt shines in this one.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)

IMHO - not as well paced as the first two Sam Raimi flicks. Also missing some fan fav elements. This film being rebooted so soon after the previous version doesn't help. Overall, some good things - like intelligent dialogue, but probably not as kid-friendly as the last incarnation. Not too far off from Brian Wood's Demo graphic novel in terms of tone. Reminds me a bit of Chronicle too.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011)

Story was a bit too simplistic or convenient at times, but the cast, some great lines and moments help to outweigh the flaws.

Prometheus (2012)

Was feeling tired and moody when I watched this. Fell asleep near the beginning but stayed awake for most of it. Overall, not too bad, but I'm not sure if I care enough to want to watch again just to see what this looks like in 3D and catch the parts I missed.

Snow White & the Huntsman (2012)

Some nice ideas and visuals but ultimately a bore to sit through.

The Raid: Redemption (2011)

Not too bad. Pretty violent though...

Dark Shadows (2012)

Was ok. Didn't really like it that much though.
