Paradise in Service - 軍中樂園 (2014)

IMHO - Probably one of the better films this year for adults with some really good performances and a great score.

The Fault in Our Stars (2014)

Very teenagery. But the film did make me tear.

Finding Fanny (2014)

There were sprinkles of delight but these were few and far in between. Characters not engaging enough and the story kinda flat.

The Maze Runner (2014)

Not too bad.

The Boxtrolls (2014)

Fell asleep for a huge chunk of the movie. Love the set designs and all. Love the end credits sequence. But the story and characters were a bit too generic to be engaging, IMHO.  

The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014)

Helen Mirren and Om Puri are probably the two best things about this movie. The score is nice and the cinematography too but for the most part, the story involving the young leads don't really hook me much.

Magic in the Moonlight (2014)

Probably one of the best films I've watched this year. And then I went and shouted at a person behind me because she won't stop talking on her phone after I shushed her nicely first.
