Very powerful human drama. At first, it looked like some artsy fartsy film that's not to my taste. Then everything starts to fall into place. Kate Winslet gives a commanding performance. One of my fav lines from the films paraphrased: "Societies think they operate by morality but they don't. They operate by legality."
