As a fan of the original, I was really looking forward to this remake, especially with all the positive buzz I've read so far. There are subtle differences, some smoothening of plot-lines, but by and large, this is pretty close to the original while putting its own stamp on it. Thought the ending provided a smoother transition into the next installment of the series.
