I'm not sure what to make of this story. It left me with lots of questions. I do not quite understand how the main character comes to his resolution at the end, nor fully buy into the motivations of the female lead's decisions. That said, there are movies that are just escapist fantasies. This one reminds its audience of our troubled world. I do applaud the filmmakers for tackling a rather difficult subject, and I think they are successful for the most part.
